What is Hastelloy B Round Bar?

The product is a solid nickel-molybdenum alloy rod for outstanding performance in strongly reductive chemical conditions. It addresses the significant issue of equipment deterioration in non-oxidizing acids like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid.

Compared to ordinary stainless steels that are prone to pitting and stress corrosion cracking, this alloy retains the surface passivity and structural integrity. The high molybdenum content (26-30%) gives excellent resistance to hydrogen chloride gas in all concentrations. This material is resistant to grain boundary carbide precipitation in the weld heat affected zone and is suitable for as-welded chemical process service.
